I’m an award-winning master portrait artist based in Huntsville, AL. I specialize in senior and family photography.

My obsession for the small details and for classic studio lighting has positioned me at the top of my market. I opened by my full-service studio in 2014 and do an average of 120 sessions a year.

I choose to focus on senior and family portraits because I believe in making the photo session an experience. My sessions go beyond the final images. It’s about the excitement, laughter and wonder of that day and making memories to last. The final portrait is a keepsake of a wonderful day and a special time in your life.

Maria Moore Photography sessions include a variety of looks, ranging from classic studio portraits to edgy sports composites. I’ve mastered indoor classic studio lighting and off camera lighting, as well as natural light. And my clients love the range of styles I offer!

My photography skills and passion for the business have opened many doors as an educator in Latin America and the U.S. (I’m originally from Costa Rica. I visit my family there often.) My courses on posing and lighting are favorites among my students and followers.

As an artist, I’m naturally drawn to senior photography. Teenagers have such an energy that it’s challenging and rewarding to capture it in still images. While exciting and fun, the teenage years can be difficult, too. I strive for my clients leave their sessions more confident, braver and more self-assured than when they arrived. Even more than photography, this is my passion. It’s my mission.
